The Benefits of a Ceramic Water Dispenser

As we all know, there are many ways to get drinking water in our glass, when we are thirsty. Some people have refrigerators that dispense ice cold water, some people have filtered tap water, some people use filtered containers that they keep in the fridge and then there are ceramic water dispenser or as some call them, ceramic water crocks.

Basically, the idea behind these stylish ceramic crocks, are centuries old. Back in the day, so to speak, there was a real need for something that could keep water contained and also moderately cool. People who lived in the hotter regions of the globe were especially pleased with these crocks. In the hottest days these crocks were able to keep the drinking water somewhat cool. Back then I’m sure they weren’t necessarily ceramic but more like clay or whatever else they could come up with.

I imagine that there isn’t much difference today, compared to back then, with people being happy about having to drink hot or even warm water for that matter. Not very refreshing if you know what I mean. I also don’t personally think too many people are happy with their home’s tap water today either.

In fact some states’ have such bad drinking water that the mass majority consume bottled water instead. Now I’m not talking water south of the border. We all know to be careful when you drink the water down there. I’m talking about major metropolis’ water supplies are in serious needs of overhauls.

Have you tried the water in California?

Have you tried the water in Texas?

I’m sorry but I’d rather buy it in the bottle.

Take the unpopulated state of Wyoming for example. If you have ever been there, then you know it is no metropolis, heck the towns are just that because they aren’t big enough to be called cities. The size of a population is beneficial when you are talking water supply.

The town I live in has roughly 20,000 people+/-. The drinking water is the freshest that I have ever had and I’m not just saying that. In certain mountain regions around the state there are even whispers of secret springs that pour right from the earth. One particular secretly secluded spring fed spot, I have been lucky enough to see and try the water for myself. It was beyond comparison to any water I have ever had. I would say that most bottled water companies would have a hard time competing against these types of hidden gems.

If you are curious to know more about the water quality in your area, then I would suggest you contact your local or state office of the DEQ. The Dept. Of Environmental Quality is on top of these types of issues and concerns and can give you the exact info you need regarding your local drinking water. Another good source of info on drinking water quality is the EPA.gov site.

Take a few minutes and see what your state has to say about the water that comes from your tap. Many states have an abundance of info regarding water quality and what you can do to help improve it. Some states water treatment facilities are already being revamped based on previous studies and many still need to address this concern.
